The Côte d'Amour, to the east of Saint-Nazaire, has numerous renowned seaside resorts (like Pornichet and La Baule), charming little fishing ports like Le Pouliguen, Le Croisic or La Turballe, and extraordinary landscapes like the Côte Sauvage du Croisic. More inland, you will succumb to the charm of Guérande, the medieval and the surprising salt marshes which separate it from the sea.
La Baule is a seaside resort of international renown, very lively, with characterful villas and 650 hectares of pine forest. The beach of La Baule-Escoublac is listed, according to UNESCO, as one of the most beautiful bays in the world (9km sandy beach). It is a playground with a surprising scale!
Discover the wild coast of Pouliguen, called Grande Côte, its sentier des douaniers trail, its criques and curious caves.
Sports and leisure activities : water sports, horse riding, tennis, a skate-park, karting, tree top adventure course, a great deal of hikes from La Baule, mountain biking routes and cycle paths, boat trips in the marshland of La Grande Brière, etc. The casino, in moderation.
For the children: : all throughout the summer school holidays, numerous beach clubs are spread along the bay of La Baule/Pornichet to welcome children (from 2 and a half to 14 years old). They offer time for supervised free play (trampolines, slides, swings, table football, a bouncy castle, volley ball courts.) and supervised entertainment with qualified activity organisers. For relaxation and well-being, the Thalassotherapy centre of Thalgo La Baule or the Thalassotherapy centre of Daniel Jouvance in Pornichet (5 mins. from the complex) welcome you to La Baule (fitness, anti-stress, slimming, beauty, massages and treatments).By train: TGV 2 hours 50 mins. from Paris to La Baule
By car, the complex is located 10 minutes from Saint-Nazaire and 45 minutes from Nantes.

Sports activities
La Baule Bay, with its 9 km of fine sand and listed among the world’s most beautiful bays, offers a vast playground for activities such as swimming, sailing, kitesurfing, water skiing, shellfish gathering, tennis, golf and horse riding.
On foot or by bike, the Customs Officers’ Path runs along the wild coastline of Le Pouliguen – a Natura 2000 site – with its coves, caves and exceptional panoramic views.
Fitness trails, bowling, go-karting, tree-top adventure courses and horse riding round off the range of sporting activities on offer.
Heritage and cultural discovery
The 2,000 hectares of Guérande’s salt marshes, designated a ‘Site Remarquable de Goût’ (Site of Exceptional Flavour), can be explored on a guided tour or independently via Terre de Sel, the Maison des Paludiers or the Batz-sur-Mer Salt Marshes Museum.
The Brière salt marshes, one of the largest in France at 20,000 hectares and designated a Regional Nature Park, are home to remarkable biodiversity.
The Guérande peninsula offers a wealth of places to visit: Guérande and its medieval ramparts (6 km), Le Croisic and its Océarium (12 km), Batz-sur-Mer (9 km) and Ranrouët Castle in Herbignac (23 km).
The wild coastline also features the Sainte-Anne Chapel, a 15th-century listed building.
Leisure and shops
La Baule offers a comprehensive range of leisure activities: the Gulf Stream cinema, a casino, escape rooms, bouncy castles, water parks and beach clubs.
Our Royal Park residence offers two outdoor swimming pools, one of which is heated, along with a paddling pool and a children’s play area.
You’ll also find all the amenities you need for your stay, as well as a wide choice of restaurants: crêperies, brasseries and fine-dining restaurants by the sea or in the town centre.
