Port Leucate

Half-way between Narbonne and Perpignan, Port Leucate stretches out, up to Port-Barcarès, its vast fine sandy beach (Blue Flag certification) on the peninsula which separates the Mediterranean from a vast lake, a real windsurfing paradise. This seaside resort has one of the largest marinas, and you will find water sport activities there in all seasons : funboard and windsurfing courses, jet skiing, Optimist (dinghy), sailing dinghy, catamaran, scuba diving. Tennis (16 courts), mini golf, cinemas, clubs, restaurants and shops in the Port.

Numerous options for trips (Collioure, Les Corbières, etc.), walks or sea fishing.

A lively resort: April, Leucate organises "Le Mondial du Vent" (International kiteboarding competition), May, "Sol y Fiesta" for the Ascension weekend, for 3 days and 3 nights, the resort is transformed hosting shows with bodegas, concerts, music and Mediterranean dances and a vineyard and wine festival.

By train: SNCF train station of Leucate-la Franqui (04-68-45-70-01) 15km from Port Leucate (shuttles in summer, taxis all year round).

By aeroplane: Perpignan-Rivesaltes airport 25 km away.

By road: A9 motorway Leucate interchange exit, then coastal dual carriageway. Take the Port Leucate exit, then follow "Office du tourisme / Le Port", arrive in the car park of La Prade and turn left. The complex is located 100 metres away.
